RSG was founded in 1986 by three Dartmouth College professors. Each had worked for more than a decade on research, academic studies, and consulting projects. Their rigorous theoretical and experiential roots provide the foundation for the firm's expertise in planning, analysis, and management of transportation, natural resources, technology, and business.
Since our founding, we’ve maintained close ties to academia and have continually pushed the boundaries in each of the firm’s four broad practice areas. In 1994, we established our headquarters in White River Junction, VT; to meet the needs of our expanding client portfolio, we now have offices nationwide. In 2008, RSG became one of the founding reporters for the Climate Registry as part of its ongoing commitment to working with clients on climate change initiatives.
