Mr. Worthen is one of the leading and most respected travel modelers in Utah. He brings to projects a unique blend of public sector planning experience and modeling expertise. He is responsible for applying travel models for planning studies, NEPA documents, and transportation master plans. Mr. Worthen also develops travel models and the data that support them, including land use and socioeconomic data.
Mr. Worthen joined RSG after nine years as a transportation engineer with Utah’s Mountainland Association of Governments MPO, where he directed the modeling program and has been deeply involved with planning and modeling activities since 1999. In addition to modeling, he managed the development of Mountainland’s transit plan, intelligent transportation systems plan, and the I-15 Corridor Management Plan. Mr. Worthen represented Mountainland and provided modeling oversight on numerous other studies.
