Ms. Maren Outwater, PE, has 25 years of experience in developing forecasting models for land use, transportation, environmental, and economic analysis and 20 years of progressive experience in managing complex model development efforts. She has developed and enhanced models to provide practical solutions for today's transportation, growth, and economic development challenges. Ms. Outwater has managed large-scale model development and application for activity-based travel, land use forecasting, evaluation of toll strategies, ridership forecasting (local, regional, and intercity), environmental and economic analysis, and commercial vehicle and freight forecasting. She has also managed development of geodatabases to maintain and update spatial data used in these models.

Before joining RSG as a Director, Ms. Outwater most recently served as the Director of Data Systems and Analysis at the Puget Sound Regional Council (PSRC) in Seattle, WA, where she managed a staff of 25 and a budget of 7 million biannually and led the land use and travel modeling, geographic information systems and information technology activities of the agency. Prior to this, she managed the West Coast practice of Cambridge Systematics’ Travel Demand Forecasting business line.
