Transportation noise is the predominant background noise in most cities and town. Highways, rail lines, and air corridors can contribute significantly to the community noise soundscape. Vibration from these sources, especially rail, can also create induced noise and other esthetic and structural impacts. We use the latest noise models to forecast transportation and traffic sound at the town, city, or county level, and can analyze cost-benefit ratios for highway noise mitigation.
