Winooski, Vermont: Downtown Circulator
Client: The City of Winooski, VT
- Demonstrated the concept of a downtown circulator through the use of a traffic simulator
- Helped determine the dimensions and operating speed of the one-way circulation loop, the access points to the parking structure serving the site, the roadway geometries, and turn-bay lengths for all streets accessing the site
- Developed the circulator for managing estimated traffic flows within the downtown, which are projected to increase substantially after full build out of the redevelopment
