I-81 Corridor Study
Client: Syracuse Metropolitan Transportation Council
- Provided travel demand model expertise and enhanced the TransCAD 5.0 four-step model in order to support I-81 project alternatives utilized it to test a series of scenarios for reconstruction or replacement of I-81.
- Developed a speed, count and origin-destination data collection plan to facilitate model calibration and implemented model enhancements necessary for defensibility. Provided procedural guidance on travel and land-use forecasting in the context of the NEPA process.
- Utilized the enhanced model to evaluate a range of I-81 replacement alternatives.
